What kind of bird is this?
I live in Placer county, California (northern California), the bird is no bigger than 4 inches, has a short, tweezer beak, and a margarita-green belly. The head is small and the wings and back are dark colored (black or brown). They are so pretty that I thought they escaped a pet shop!

The bird is wild,
I looked up finch and I think it is a Lessor goldfinch
Um… Do you have a picture you could give us the link to? If so you can send it to me and I could tell you specificly, but from that my guesses are:
A budgie or Parakeet
A cockatiel (but the green belly part throws it off)
A finch (but it’s too small)
A cockatoo
That’s all I can think of, but again if you can send me the link to a photo I could tell you for sure
